Jack's Show and Tell

Jack's family are very proud of him for giving a presentation to the residents about his life in Cornwall - starting work at the age of 12 as a butcher's assistant. He joined the RAF in World War 2 and was stationed in Chicksands where he met his wife. He said he had a wonderful life in Cornwall and spoke of his love for his parents who worked hard all their life. He taught himself to make leather handbags, wallet's and purses. The leather he bought from a tannery in Hitchin. Jack loves dogs and his last dog, an Alsation was called Lineker after the footballer.
