The home prides itself on service and in particular catering, an area in which it has won several national awards.

There are three main receptions a TV besides the main reception room, there are two other lounges, furnished with large comfortable chairs to sit back and relax in while watching a favourite programme or video. One can lose one's self in a good book in the study area, or enjoy the pleasure of the conservatory.

Taymer employs a highly qualified, experienced and dedicated team of staff who work closely with residents to ensure a continuously high standard of person-centred care. The focus is on individual needs with an emphasis on choice. Each resident will have a named nurse. Additionally, residents have access to visiting physiotherapists, chiropodists and yoga practitioners.
