" We would be very grateful if you could pass this message on to your staff please? Just came to Taymer rather reluctantly for a trial lunch some 11 months ago. She said “I’m not going into one of those places”. However, when we brought her home after lunch in Taymer, she said that if she could not go back permanently to Taymer she would starve herself to death – she did not regret her decision. |

"To all at Taymer Nursing Home. Thank you so much for Jeens lovely flowers and to those who were able to come to the service. On behalf of all her family, this is a big thank you to each and everyone of you for the care, kindness & patience you gave her. The fact that she spent nearly 2 years with you is testament as to how well she was looked after. I miss our regular visits to see her and everyone else . We all know that she is in a safe and happy place now with my uncle. You must feel the loss of any resident you come to know very well. Thank you all again. You made my life better to know she was being cared for so well. Perhaps, I’ll see you all again some time. With love and best wishes." Sue Woodstock |

"Just a line to let you all know, that I am settling into my normal routine at home, and to express my thanks to you all for my stay at Taymer over the Christmas period. It was a enjoyable time for me, and the care and attention of all the staff made my Christmas a very happy one. David Lockey |

In August 2005 my mother Emily came to live at the Taymer Nursing Home in Silsoe. For 3 ½ years she was looked after with kindness and respect and was shown a very high degree of caring and affection. We know she was very fortunate when she was offered a room and once she was there, the stress of looking after herself was lifted.
We would like you to know how much we appreciate the professionalism of the members of the staff and in particular Maggie. Under her excellent leadership the residents receive a very high level of loving attention, whether it be medical or their personal wellbeing.
When visiting a relative in the Taymer, it is like joining a family and visitors be they relative or friend are also made most welcome. The atmosphere is very friendly and nothing is too much trouble for any member of staff. Maggie is to be congratulated for the smooth running of the Home. Shaun provides excellent catering and ensures individual residents needs are met. His organisation and the time he gives helps to make the Taymer the superb home that it is.
My mother died on 20th February in familiar surroundings with every member of staff caring for her special needs during the later days of her life.
The Taymer Nursing Home is a home to be proud of and the reputation in the area is second to none – for this we Thank you.
Yours sincerely
Susan Winterson
